Rebecca Beinart

Rebecca Beinart is a Nottingham based artist and went to nottingham trent uni,  where she did a three year course in fine art. At uni she became interested in how art could be an experience, she looked at narratives.
The things she made were visual but shown as an event, her degree project was a treasure hunt that led you to a place, it was fun but educational.
She went on to do an MA in art and ecology in devon, the course was experimental with nature. She was taught by writers, artists, scientists.
Rebecca uses photography to document lie events, photography captures her work.
She has done lots of commissioned work.
Bristol - Rebecca walked the river seven times and made the river part of her art work she had people like bird watches and river experts, pop up in different places of the river and tell stories and facts.
London - Rebecca went looking for food to create a meal from the wildlife around london. (not from bins) She works alone and with groups/ workshops.
Loughborough - wanted to spread/share bred all around the world. she made mini bread mixtures and gave them to people at a faire and asked them all to share it with friends, family, anyone they new. The brad spread to many countries but was stopped at boarders and security checks.
Origination - investigating her own family history.
made a video, a ghost tea party for all her dead relatives, where the food was eaten by 'nothing'
Plants - went to see how nature can be used as medicine. she names this project 'poison'
she was interested how something so pretty such as a flower could create such a toxic poison.

Alongside making art work she works in the field of education in art colleges and in the community.
